We will also take part in 3 whole school projects; Take 1 picture –using a painting by Turner, A STEM project (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) that we can help our teachers choose and plan and musical theatre project. We will also be working hard to develop or reading, writing, spelling and grammar skills and becoming more fluent in maths.
I have worked at Haseltine Primary School for the past 13 years. I am currently employed as a Learning Support Assistant for KS2 and I also cover lunch time duties. My main ethos is to see the children excel in their everyday learning.
During my time at Haseltine, I have worked with various year groups. In 2011, I was given the opportunity to set up and manage the After School Club of which I am very proud of. Working in the classroom and the After School Club allows me to work with the children throughout the day, establishing a working relationship with them. I am dedicated and keen to help the children develop their academic and social skills, which is good practice for them as they progress through and beyond primary school.
During the years I have managed the After School Club, it has significantly grown in numbers. The parents/carers are very supportive and extremely happy to leave their child/children in a safe, fun and learning environment.
