NurseryWhat's going on in the Nursery?
Introduction to Nursery Year
We have two sessions in the Nursery; a morning class and an afternoon class. The children have an opportunity to learn inside and outside throughout their session. The Nursery staff carefully plan learning opportunities for the children to investigate and the children also get the chance to explore and learn through play with each other.
Topics and themes this year include: All about me, Traditional stories from around the world, Robots, ‘To the Rescue’ (People who help us), ‘It’s all alive!’

I have worked at Haseltine as Nursery Class Teacher since 2015.
I am proud to work at Haseltine because it is such a friendly school where everyone looks out for each other; staff, children and parents alike. We have fantastic resources, dedicated teachers and children who love to learn, which makes working here very rewarding and enjoyable.
As a teacher, I have an interest and commitment to each child, and work to create a class environment which supports, extends and engages the learning of every child. Through feedback and recognition of achievement, each child is encouraged to progress with their learning and develop the motivation to become lifelong learners. I am committed to setting high expectation and promoting outstanding learning and progress. Through nurturing children’s self-confidence, supporting children to develop respect for themselves and others, encouraging a love of learning and teaching strong communication and numeracy skills I believe we can raise achievement for all our children at Haseltine.
